Luizinho Lins

    Born in the district of Icoaraci, singer, banjoist, composer, researcher of Amazonian rhythms and instruments. He developed important projects in different areas of popular culture in Belém, such as: "Project"Percussive Ceramics" - Instituto de Artes do Pará - 2006, where he made percussion instruments with pottery artisans, seeking in iconography a visual identity for Pará in percussive instruments; "WebTV Black Things" - Espaço Cultural Escolhas de Negro - 2011, was the first carimbó WebTV created at the beginning of internet broadcasts; "Carimbó experience - knowing and doing" - 2014, The experiences project emerged from studies on transdisciplinarity that seek a form of educational teaching that reaches the various human dimensions using art as a tool;  "Sound Fauvism" Fundação Cultural do Pará - 2016, a project that created songs inspired by Fauvist painters. 
     Integrant and Cultural Space Peças de Negro (a space that has been promoting the oldest active carimbó circle in the city of Belém for 23 years), active in carimbó culture. Experienced musician with participation in folklore festivals in Brazil (FEFOL-SP 2004, 2008, 2010; Festival de Folguedos de Teresina - PI 1999) and music festivals such as: FEJACAN - PR 2014; FEMUCIC - PR 2015. Amazônia das Artes- SESC 2019; SONIDO instrumental - PA 2015) musician of the international singer Nazaré Pereira in her performances in Pará and participated as a guest in the launch show of the project by Mestre Curica (one of the members of Mestres da Guitarrada). He is currently developing his musical project with original compositions, with the distinctive feature being the accents developed on the banjos in his compositions and the rhythmic references of Pará.
